Servicing Forster-Tuncurry & the Mid North Coast NSW
Forster and Tuncurry sit at the mouth of the Wallis Lake system — a unique mix of sheltered lake water, bar crossings and exposed ocean beaches. Coastal Water Safety Australia services the Great Lakes region with drone-based shark surveillance and event water safety crews trained for both lake and ocean environments.
Beaches we cover
Our drone, sonar and rescue capabilities are deployed across:
- Main Beach Forster
- One Mile Beach
- Tuncurry Beach
- Pebbly Beach
- Burgess Beach

Events we’ve worked on near Forster-Tuncurry
Forster Ironman, Great Lakes ocean swim, Forster surf carnivals, Wallis Lake triathlons, and school camps along the lake foreshore.
Local conditions & hazards
The Forster bar at the lake entrance is one of the more demanding bar crossings on the NSW coast, and rips at One Mile and Pebbly require constant monitoring. Our jet ski crews are bar-trained.
